A Fianna Fáíl senator has lost his High Court challenge against an inquiry into his expenses claims.
Brían Ó Domhnaill had demanded that the inquiry from the public ethics watchdog be conducted entirely through Irish.
The senator had been due to appear before a public hearing last June, but the inquiry was suspended after his legal challenge.
The allegations relate to the senator's travel and subsistence expenses in 2006 and 2007 while he was a member of Donegal County Council.
Senator Ó Domhnaill denies any wrongdoing and says he is 'on dry land' in relation to the claims.
