A new study has found the deer at the Phoenix Park in Dublin could end up consistently harassing people for food if steps aren't taken.
It could create significant risks for the animals and the 10 million people that visit the green space each year.
The research found heavier fawns are being born to females who regularly beg for food, which could lead to more aggressive deers in the future.
Laura Griffin is from the UCD Laboratory of Wildlife Ecology and Behaviour and says feeding the animals is a very bad idea for the future;
"A lot of people that have interacted with them in the park don't realise the negative impact that could be had.
"They think these interactions are benign or maybe even that they're giving them a treat by offering a carrot.
"But at the end of the day, you have to think it's not just yourself that's doing this it's loads of people every day, and people who may see you do it might also think it's a good idea."
