A father of six from Monaghan has picked up a cheque for a quarter of a million euro after winning Lotto Plus 2.
58 year old Tommy Kieran, whoÂ’s retired and from Carrickmacross, has used the same numbers that are family birthdays for more than 25 years.
He says his children hounded him since Wednesday after hearing there was a winning ticket at BirdyÂ’s newsagent where he bought it.
But he stuck with his routine to wait until Friday to go in and check the ticket;
