Explosives, guns and ammo have been seized following searches in Co. Louth.
Yesterday's search in Omeath took place as part of a follow up operation to one carried out on February 1st.
That search conducted at the beginning of February targeted Dissident Republican Groups.
Further searches were carried out at lands in an area close to Omeath yesterday.
During the operation, Gardaí recovered a quantity of explosives, two firearms and a sizable quantity of ammunition of various calibres.
An Explosive Ordinance Disposal unit of the Irish Defence Force later carried out a controlled explosion on some of the material found.
Investigations are ongoing.
