Companies should look at providing employees who are close contacts with high-grade masks if they need to be in the office, says the Health Minister
The HSE said yesterday that it will not be providing FFP2 or N95 face coverings - despite NPHET recommendations for close contacts to use them.
Retailers across the country are reporting a shortage of the higher-grade masks with limited availability
Health Minister Stephen Donnelly says employers should look into purchasing higher grade masks to keep staff safe:
"My own view would be for testing or for masks - that it is something that employers could look at, and should look at.
"If it is something that is appropriate for people to be wearing in a workplace, and I would include public sector bodies in that too."
