Electric Picnic organisers say they will now review their options after the festival was refused a licence.
They were hoping to hold the event in Stradbally, Co, Laois towards the end of September.
Promoters had proposed that ticket holders, staff and artists, would have to be fully vaccinated and registered in advance for Department of Health contact tracing.

Despite this, it emerged yesterday that Laois County Council refused a licence for the festival.
They made the decision after getting up-to-date advice from the HSE.
EP organisers says this is "extremely disappointing" and have described the move as a huge blow to the entire sector.
They have now called on the Government to interrupt their summer break and issue guidelines for the sector.
