An elderly man has died following a road crash in Cork.
The man, who was in his 70s, was killed after his car crashed into a ditch.
It happened shortly after midnight in the Taur area of Newmarket.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital for a post mortem examination.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
