Gardaí have launched a man hunt for three people believed to be involved in an aggravated burglary in Co. Westmeath.
It's understood an elderly couple - a man who's 75 and a woman who's 80 were threatened with a knife in the incident at their home in Ballynacargy.
Around 500 euro was stolen in the incident.
The robbery took place in the Churchtown area in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Meanwhile Gardaí in Tullamore are investigating a gun attack on a house in Clara yesterday.
A number of shots were fired at the property on Beechmount Avenue at about 4.20 am.
A technical examination of the scene has been completed.
