Eight people have been arrested following a major drug seizure in Dublin.
€2.8 million of cocaine was discovered following a planned search of premises in the Long Mile Road area yesterday morning.
The seven men and one woman, with ages ranging from their late 20s to early 50s, were arrested yesterday as part of Operation TARA.
The raid was carried out by officers investigating the Kinahan organised crime group.
The Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, supported by the Special Crime Task Force, stopped two vehicles shortly after 11 am in the Ballyfermot and Blanchardstown areas.
In total, 40 kilos of cocaine, with a street value of €2.8 million, was found during the operation.

2,000 Canisters of Nitric Oxide and €78,000 in cash were also recovered.
A hydraulic Drugs Press, a quantity of mixing agents, drug mixing equipment, a money counter and several phones and laptops were also seized
The eight people are being questioned at various garda stations across Dublin.
Assistant Commissioner, Justin Kelly, of Organised and Serious Crime said, "The operation and substantial seizure of cocaine has shown An Garda Síochána is determined to disrupt the distribution networks of organised groups who cause harm to our communities.”
