A man's been seriously injured after a crash in County Galway.
He was among 8 people taken to hospital after the collision near Leenane village.
This serious crash happened when two cars collided on the Clifden Road, 3 kilometres outside Leenane village at around a quarter past 5 yesterday evening.
The eight people were taken to University Hospital Galway where they're being treated for non-life threatening injuries this morning.
The scene remained closed overnight for examination by garda forensic collision investigators, with local diversions in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, in particular, anyone who travelled on this stretch of road between 4.45 pm and 6 pm yesterday.
