Eight migrants found on a cargo ship travelling from France to Ireland have been deported.
It's after an investigation into their immigration status.
The men - believed to be from Albania - were discovered on the ship, which arrived at Belview Port in Waterford yesterday.
They were all said to be in good health when they were found.
They have now been sent back to Cherbourg in France under Garda escort after an assessment into their immigration status was carried out.
In a statement this evening, gardaí said the men departed on a ferry to the French port at 8.30pm this evening.
