U2's The Edge and owner of Dublin restaurant Chapter One, Ross Lewis, were among the people who donated to President Michael D. Higgins' election campaign last year.
President Higgins received the most donations, at €41,300, from more than 40 individual donors.
Just two of the six presidential candidates got enough votes to qualify to be reimbursed for what they spent on their campaign.
Michael D Higgins spent over €367,000 trying to get re-elected and was reimbursed the maximum amount allowed, €200,000.
Peter Casey was reimbursed the full cost of his campaign - having spent just under €120,000.
But Senator Joan Freeman, Sean Gallagher, Liadh Ni Riada, and Gavin Duffy who spent between €163,000 and €253,000 each are all out of pocket - having not reached the quota to qualify to be reimbursed.
The Standards in Public Office has also revealed the donations received by candidates.
President Higgins received over €41,000 While Joan Freeman secured 24 thousand from donors and Sean Gallagher got €9,000.
The report doesn't record donations to any other candidates.
