Eamon Ryan is to step down as the leader of the Green Party.
It follows a disappointing local and European elections for the party, where they lost half of their council seats and their two MEPs.
The current Transport Minister has led the party since 2011, and has been one of the three coalition leaders since 2020.
Earlier this year, he believed the Greens could win seats on all of the local county councils, but they ended up losing half of their seats.
Both Ciaran Cuffe and Grace O'Sullivan lost their seats in the European Parliament, which they both won in 2019.
