€500,000 in cash has been seized following a series of searches in Dublin and Cavan.
It was recovered yesterday as part of an intelligence-led operation involving the targeting of members of an organised crime group.
They are suspected of being involved in large scale drug trafficking and money laundering.
As part of the operation, Gardai searched give properties across Cavan and the northside of Dublin city.
It led to the recovery of half a million euro worth of cash.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested and is currently being detained in Navan Garda Station.
Assistant Commissioner O’Driscoll, Organised and Serious Crime said, "This operation demonstrates the continued determination of An Garda Síochána to target organised crime through stopping the flow of money suspected to be proceeds of crime and which provides the motivation for organised crime groups to trade in drugs”.
