DUP Says No To Stormont Return
The DUP says no to a return to Stormont.
Party officers met late last week to discuss a potential return to the North's executive after a near-two year boycott over Brexit arrangements.
It leaves questions over the North's Secretary of State's next move to get devolved government up-and-running in Belfast.
Speaking earlier this afternoon, the DUP leader Jeffrey Donaldson says talks will continue, "we want to see the reestablishment of the Executive and Assembly, and we're working towards that objective.
"The DUP wants to secure an agreement that provides the basis for the institutions to function with stability."
Last week more than 100,000 public sector workers went on strike in the North in a dispute over pay.
Money which would go towards ending the industrial action has been made available by the British Government, however it is held up by the DUP's boycott.
