The likes of penguins and ostriches in Dublin Zoo have been moved indoors to protect them from bird flu.
The Zoo says it follows advice from the Department of Agriculture, with the majority of birds off-view until further notice.
Last month, Fota Wildlife Park introduced new safeguards, including moving some of its birds indoors also.

Bird flu is a viral infection that spreads from bird to bird, and can often be fatal.
The virus can also be spread by people through clothing and footwear and poor hand hygiene practices.
Last year the flu was identified in a flock of birds in Castleblaney, Co Monaghan and Oranmore, Co Galway
