A Dublin creche owner is stepping aside from all frontline childcare work - ahead of a TV documentary criticising its practices and facilities.
RTE Investigates, which airs tonight, sent undercover researchers to work in the Hyde and Seek group which has 4 creches in Dublin.
In tonight's progamme, the documentary will report that undercover researchers observed repeated breaches of regulations having being hired as childcare workers.
In a statement from Hyde and Seek Creches it acknowledges that the show has raised real issues which it needs to address.
It says they have already addressed some - recently changing the layout of their cot rooms at the Tolka Road and Shaw St creches.
Last week, fire inspectors said there were no safety issues that required immediate action.
Meanwhile, one of the directors will no longer be working with kids in the creche.
It admitted that during a recent difficult period at the Tolka Road facility Anne Davy had taken a more front line childcare role than she normally does, and accepts that she did not handle this period well.
They also say they operate an open door policy for all parents who are free to visit their creches at any time.
