That was the thinking behind one customer who decided to cash in on an old bookstore voucher.
Staff at Hodges Figgis in Dublin were left speechless after a customer redeemed a 26-year-old loyalty card.
The card read "if you are a regular customer and would like to obtain £10 off future purchases read on..."
The Dawson Street bookshop was true to its promise and knocked the few punts off the customer's purchase.
In a Facebook post the store said "Thanks to the nice customer who redeemed this retro loyalty card from 1995!".
It told staff it would happily honour loyalty stamp cards no matter how old or out of date.
