It's believed to be linked to the only confirmed case of Coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland.
A male student in Dublin, who returned from Northern Italy, is now receiving treatment in an isolated hospital unit.
A letter from the HSE has been circulated to parents of children that attend the youth band on Dublin's Northside that they should self isolate.
Earlier the Department of Health suggested the letter was a hoax.
However, they have now confirmed that the letter was issued by the Health Service Executive.
One secondary school is closed for two weeks on the northside of Dublin as a result of the first case of COVI 19 here.
