People dropping off or collecting friends and family from Dublin airport will soon have to pay to do so.
Fingal County Council has given the green light for the DAA to operate new paid-for drop-off and pick-up zones.
The DAA says a free option for drop off's and collections will still be available in a new dedicated area of the express red long term car parks.
The Irish Independent also reports there will be special provisions for people with reduced mobility.
It's not expected the paid zones will be in place by this summer though construction will take place in the second half of 2022.
The aim of the move is to reduce the number of cars travelling to the Swords facility and encourage passengers to take the bus instead.
