The DSPCA has renewed an appeal for a home for a 12-year-old collie who's been in their care for almost a year and a half.
The animal welfare charity says it's issued numerous appeals in an effort to find a home for Jordan.
He's been nursed back to health after arriving to the shelter in Dublin as a stray. By the end of June, he will have been with the DSPCA for 500 days.
The charity is looking for a quiet home with a safely enclosed garden where Jordan would be the only dog.
Jordan 💔 Sitting, waiting and hoping that someone will give him a chance. Is there anyone out there who can offer this older gentleman a home? We are so desperate to help him but we need your help too 🙏🏼 #retweet #appeal #rescuedog #Collie #pets pic.twitter.com/PIMT30opyn

The DSPCA says his favourite thing to is to be pampered and have his hair brushed.
He's described as a 'distinguished older gentleman' who thrives on routine. The DSPCA is looking for a home where Jordan can live out his retirement on by the fire on a comfy bed. However, despite his age, he's described as still looking forward to his walks loving nothing more than to potter around the garden.
🚫Stop, We need your help🚫
This time last year we did our first appeal for Jordan. We have done several since and still NOTHING.
At this stage we are begging for this boy! He is 12 years old and at the end of June he will be ❗️ 500 days❗️in a shelter. #appeal #Dogs #help pic.twitter.com/tlfgxxCQUS— DSPCA (@DublinSPCA) June 20, 2023
