There's been a reduction in the rate at which house prices are increasing.
They went up by 12.2% in the year to August - that's down from 13.3% in the twelve months to July.
The CSO Property Price Index published today shows the cost of a buying a home in Dublin went up by 9.7% in the twelve months to August , while outside the capital they were 14.2% than a year earlier.
Overall prices rose by 12 .2% across the country in the year to August , that's down from 13.3% in the year to July.
The figures show there has been a reduction in the rate at which prices are increasing.
The median price of a home bought in the 12 months to August 2022 was €295,100.
The lowest median price paid for a home was €149,500 in Longford, while the highest was €615,000 in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown.
