The Department of Health has confirmed that Dr Ronan Glynn is stepping down as Deputy Chief Medical Officer.

He has resigned from his position and will leave the job on May 31st.
The Taoiseach's thanked the Deputy CMO for his outstanding service to the Irish people.
Michael Martin says he worked very well with Dr Glynn throughout the pandemic,
He says his unstinting, dedicated and tireless work in fighting COVID-19 was so important to the health and wellbeing of the nation.
In a statement, the Taoiseach said he personifies the very best of Irish public service, and wished him well in the future.
