A double-murder investigation has been launched in Northern Ireland after reports of a stabbing in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.
Shortly before 11pm last night, officers attended a residence in the Derrycoole Way area where a woman was found dead.
Following further inquiries, police then continued to another home in the Glenville Road area.
A man was found unconscious in the property and despite receiving medical attention, he was pronounced dead.
A third person, a woman, was found dead in the same property.
The PSNI says it believes the incidents are connected.
Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell said: “While we have launched a murder investigation, we are not looking for anyone else in connection with these incidents which we believe are connected."
He urged anyone with information that may assist in their investigation to contact them.
