The Dogs Trust charity has issued an appeal to home a 'dog couple' this Valentines Day.
They're asking anyone who might be in a position to provide a forever home for two dogs, who have been inseparable since they met in kennels.
The charity says both were found in 'appaling conditions'.
Two-year-old beagle mix Yara was found seriously injured in a field and had to undergo emergency surgery to save her life.
Evie, a four-year-old Spaniel mix, was found with the skin condition mange and multiple infections.
After meeting in kennels, the pair formed an immediate bond.
Now, Dogs Trust says their love for each other has not only helped mend their broken hearts but 'also set them firmly on the road to recovery'.
Sandra Russell, Assistant Operations Manager at Dogs Trust, says:
"Both Evie and Yara were found in awful conditions, and we feared Yara in particular might not make it.
"Thanks to our supporters, we were able to get them the emergency veterinary care they needed.
"We are so grateful to their fosterers, as both girls have blossomed and fully healed.
"They are now friendly, well-behaved and energetic dogs and we can’t wait to find them their forever home together," she added.
"They would suit a family with children over 16 and would love a garden to play in, so we are hoping to find somebody with a big heart willing to adopt this beautiful pair."
