The Dail has passed legislation to allow abortion in limited circumstances in Ireland.
The Protection of Life During Pregnancy Bill was approved by TDs last night.
But the passage of the bill has come at a cost for Fine Gael, with junior minister Lucinda Creighton voting against the bill and losing her ministerial job.
