Gardai are investigating a device which partially exploded under a car in West Dublin.
Residents heard a small explosion on Rosefield Park in Tallaght shortly after half six yesterday evening.
Gardai found a gas canister which had been set on fire and partially exploded, but say the car wasn't damaged in the incident.
The device has been taken away to be examined.
