A decision to reopen schools tomorrow will be made later this evening (Tuesday).
The Department of Education made the announcement yesterday that all schools in counties which had a Status Orange or Status Red weather warning would not be open today with the arrival of Storm Barra.

A number of weather warnings will still be operating in the early hours of tomorrow, including a Status Orange weather warning for counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford, Galway, Mayo, Wexford, as well as a separate warning for Leitrim and Sligo.
The Department of Education will make a decision before 6pm this evening.
