More than 16,000 people have now died in the earthquake in Turkey and Syria according to the latest official figures.
Rescuers are continuing their painstaking work but hopes are fading for the many still trapped under the rubble.
People are still being rescued alive, but freezing overnight temperatures are making conditions even more difficult.
Aftershocks are still being felt in some areas following Monday's huge earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
Six Irish humanitarian organisations are calling for donations to their Turkey-Syria earthquake appeal.
The Irish Emergency Alliance – comprised of Action Aid, Christian Aid, World Vision, Plan, Trocaire and Tearfund, is calling on the Irish public to donate to a fund providing food, water, blankets, hygiene kits, shelter and more, to people impacted by the earthquakes.
Chair of the Irish Emergency Alliance, Brian Casey, said the impacts of these earthquakes have been devastating.
“People have been left without shelter in freezing winter conditions, with humanitarian needs expected to grow in the coming days.
"Access to clean water will likely be a challenge, bringing the risk of cholera and other diseases.
"By joining forces we can work in a really effective way to get aid where it’s needed most.”
