The deadlock over the US shutdown is showing no sign of easing.
More than 700 thousand workers were sent home on unpaid leave last week, when politicians failed to agree a new budget.
Tonight, President Obama has spoken again about the ongoing standstill - saying it's hurting the American people.
He says the Republicans are holding the US public to ransom.
