Tomorrow is the deadline for talks in the North, chaired by former US Diplomat Richard Haass.
The five main political parties have been holding intense discussions on issues including parades, flags and the past troubles.
Dr Haass returned yesterday after a short break for Christmas, but the talks again failed to reach a breakthrough.
There are no meetings set for today, but discussions will resume at 6am tomorrow.
However, at this stage, it appears unlikely agreement will have been reached on the contentious flags issue or that there will be full agreement on dealing with historical issues.
