The Public and Members Bars at the Dail are getting a deep clean following sightings of a rat last week.
Both bars were forced to close temporarily as efforts were made to catch the rodent.
The leader of Fianna Fail was the first to spot the rat.
He caught a glimpse of the rodent as he was having a cup of tea in the Private Members Bar.
Both bars will remain closed until the sanitization process is complete.
