Dublin Airport is to introduce passenger holding areas for those who arrive too early for their flights this weekend.
DAA will tell the transport committee that it's advice is to arrive two-and-a-half hours before a short haul flight and three-and-a-half hours before a long haul.
If the terminals get particularly busy this weekend, bosses say it may triage and control access to the terminals to passengers who arrive within those time frames.
It plans to set up passenger holding areas for those who arrive too early, which DAA says will include toilets, seating and 'bad weather cover'.
It adds there will be special considerations for passengers who need assistance.
In the event access to the terminals need to be controlled, passengers will need to have a booking confirmation or boarding pass to hand.
