A cyclist has been killed following a crash in west Cork.
The woman, who was in her late 40s, was hit by a car near Shepperton Lake, between Leap and Skibbereen, on the N71 at around 1pm.

The driver of the car, a woman in her late 50s was uninjured.
The woman's body has been taken to Cork University Hospital, where a post-mortem will take place.
A section of the road between Skibbereen and Rosscarbery is closed to allow for a technical examination of the scene, and diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who travelled on the N71 this afternoon and may have information to contact them.
