Property prices have posted their first annual increase in five years.
The latest figures from the CSO show prices rose by 1.2 percent in the 12 months to the end of last month.
In June, prices rose by 1.2 percent compared to a drop of 0.3 percent in May.
According to the CSO, home values in Dublin were responsible for the annual increase.
Dublin property prices were 4.2 percent higher than a year ago.
Apartment prices in the city surged by 9.7 percent in June.
But the CSO says the low number of apartments changing hands creates volatility in price movements.
