Brian Cowen's claims that he never saw the financial crisis coming are being rubbished this morning.
In his first full interview since leaving office - which is reported on in the Irish Independent today - the former Taoiseach says his party didn't believe those who were warning of danger at the time of collapse and that his government have a plan B in place.
He also told TG4's Comhra programme that he still stands over the controversial decision to guarantee the country's failing banks.
