Health officials have announced 95 new COVID-19 cases in Ireland, taking the national total to 29,206.
No further deaths have been announced and the death toll remains at 1,777.
Three previously confirmed cases have been denotified.
The acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn said 51 of the new cases were in Dublin, six were in Kildare, six were in Meath and the remaining 32 were spread across Carlow, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Offaly, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow.
The acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn said 16 of the new cases have been identified as community transmission.
Meanwhile, 47% are associated with outbreaks or close contacts of a confirmed case.
“This virus relies on human contact,” said Dr Glynn. “The virus has not changed and neither have the basic measures that keep us all protected.
“It is these basic measures that are most important to keep COVID-19 under control. Remember to wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds, to know the safe way to wear a face covering, avoid touching your face, cough into your elbow, reduce your social contacts and keep a physical distance of two metres at the top of your mind when you do meet others.”
As of 8am this morning, there were 40 confirmed COVID-19 patients in Irish hospital, with seven in intensive care.
Of the 61,936 tests carried out in the past week, 1.2% came back positive.
