The Foreign Affairs Minister is urging people to not book holidays abroad this summer.
Simon Coveney says that would very much go against the advice currently being provided by government.
Although he did admit that we will see a gradual change in relation to the approach on international travel over the summe.
The Minister said he believes staycations will be allowed and will prove to be popular this year.
Minister Coveney says international travel will not return as fast:
Speaking today he said "What that means is continuing to prioritise public health advice over everything else, but even with that I do think over the summer months we will see a gradual change in relation to the approach on international travel but I certainly wouldn't be advising anybody to be to be booking holidays. That's that's very much contrary to the current advice that we're providing."
