Counting of votes in the referendums on the Seanad and the Court of Appeal is getting underway.
Around 3.1 million were eligible to vote in yesterday's referendums, but there are reports of voter turnout being poor in many areas of the country.
There were also some reports that voters were confused by the similarity of the two ballot papers, and of confusion over the question in the Seanad referendum.
