There have been six more coronavirus-related deaths in the Republic of Ireland.
23 new cases of the virus have also been confirmed.
Today's numbers bring the total number of cases to date to 25,437, while the death toll has risen to 1,734.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan said 10 cases (43%) confirmed today are in younger adults aged under 35, with another eight cases in people aged between 35-54.
He said: “This is now a real concern and a worrying trend at a time when many people are reconnecting with friends and loved ones and may be gathering in larger groups.
“In recent days, for example, some cases have had large numbers of close contacts that have required testing and self-isolation for 14 days."
He stressed that the virus affects all ages and it's vital for everyone to take "our individual responsibility seriously".
