Coronavirus: 456 New Cases And Five Further Deaths In Ireland


There have been 456 new cases of coronavirus in the Republic.

Five further deaths have also been reported - all of which occurred in November.

There have now been 1,984 COVID-19 related deaths in Ireland since the pandemic began.

Of today's cases, 105 were in Dublin, 85 in Limerick, 43 in Cork, 38 in Meath, 25 in Clare, and the remaining cases spread across 21 other counties.

As of this afternoon, there were 274 COVID-19 patients in Irish hospitals, including 33 in intensive care.

The national incidence rate of the virus now stands at 120 per 100,000 population.
