A taxi driver has received serious facial injuries after his car was hijacked in Cork.
The man was attacked by two passengers on the Carrigohane Road early this morning.
The injured driver was beaten, left on the side of the road and his car was stolen.
The stolen taxi was pursued by another taxi and later crashed in Blarney.
One man in his fifties was arrested and another fled the scene.
