A Cork student has won the top prize at the Google Science Fair.
Fionn Ferreira from Ballydehob in West Cork was one of 24 finalists in what is regarded as the most prestigious STEM student competitions in the world.
The 18 year old's project removed microplastics from water using magnets.

The teen ended up winning the top prize of a $50,000 bursary.
Fionn had just sat his Leaving Cert last month at Schull Community College.
He's due to go to university in the Netherlands, so it's probably not the last you've heard of this talented Cork man.
