A Cork man has been charged in relation to allegations of abuse brought by former boy scouts in Cork.
72 year old David Barry, a retired businessman appeared before Cork District Court charged with 26 counts of indecent or sexual assault.
Mr. Barry is also facing one count of attempted indecent assault.
The offences are alleged to have happened on various dates between 1986 and 2005.
He was arrested at his home in Bishopstown earlier this morning.
He was then taken to Togher Garda Station where he was formally charged.
The accused was remanded on bail.
He is set to appear in court again on January 27th.
