Conor McGregor has been branded a "disgrace" for bragging about his collection of mink coats.
The Dublin born MMA fighter posted a number of pictures of himself wearing the coats on social media over the weekend.
McGregor says both were bought in the same store, one for $55,000 and the other for $80,000.
McGregor said they are "like art pieces", also labelled himself as "The Gucci mink pimp".
Solidarity People Before Profit TD Ruth Coppinger says the majority of people here want fur farming banned, and hit out at McGregor for flaunting a mink collection over the weekend.
Deputy Coppinger said "I think in the week that we got a commitment from the government to ban fur farming it's particularly mind-boggling".
"McGregor is really out of step here"
"He's made yet another miscalculation of where public opinion lies".
