Fianna Fáil's unveiled the party's newest TD - former Labour chairman Colm Keaveney.
He's been accepted unanimously at a meeting of the Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party.
The Galway West TD is being given an immediate frontbench position around special needs - embracing education, health, employment and mental health.
It's understood he's been in talks with the party for some time - and this afternoon Micheal Martin said it was Keaveney who had made the first move in inquiring about joining.
