Temperatures are set to plummet to as low as minus 10° tonight.
It's predicted to be the coldest night of the current wintry spell and of the year so far.
A Status Orange - Low Temperature/Ice warning comes into effect for 19 counties from 6 o'clock this evening.
Met Éireann is warning of extremely cold conditions on Wednesday night with widespread temperatures below -5 degrees leading to severe frost and ice.
The Orange level warning is in place until 12 noon tomorrow for counties Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway, Leitrim, Roscommon.

A Status Yellow - Low Temperature/Ice warning for Ireland remains in place until 12 noon on Friday, as cold conditions through the week with widespread sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches.
