Climate activists in Germany have thrown mashed potatoes at a Claude Monet painting worth almost €112 million.
Four people from the group Last Generation, targeted Les Meules at the Barberini Museum in Potsdam yesterday, in a protest against fossil fuel extraction.
A video shows the activists, wearing orange high-vis vests, throwing the mixture at the painting, before gluing themselves to the wall below it.

They then shouted, "Does it take mashed potato on a painting to make you listen? "This painting is not going to be worth anything if we have to fight over food.
