Clamping is to begin again for hospital staff in Dublin city, who had been exempt from paying for parking around hospitals or health centres.
The step was taken in March to help frontline workers during the pandemic and staff who displayed their healthcare ID were exempt from clamping.
But the head of the council says the measure can not be sustained and will end on August 31st, according to the Irish Times.
Owen Keegan told councillors that there's been an increased demand for on-street parking, leading to some residents not being able to park at or close to their homes.
