A group of chickens are believed to have killed a fox that broke into their coop in France.
The strange incident happened at a farming school in Brittany.
A young fox is thought to have broken into the coop housing around 3,000 chickens during the night.
However, it became trapped due to light-controlled automatic hatch doors.
School officials told the AFP news agency they found the fox's body the following morning.
Pascal Daniel, the head of farming at Le Gros-Chêne school, said: "There was a herd instinct and they attacked him with their beaks."
He noted that a similar coop invasion by a fox in the past ended up much worse for the chickens.
